Cold-chain expansion: more chilled and frozen capacity for Halal meat

We are expanding temperature-controlled storage and reefer handling in Muscat to support growing demand for chilled and frozen Halal beef, mutton, goat and camel meat.

Fresh cuts of red meat prepared for export

Demand for chilled and frozen Halal meat among Omani hotels, caterers and wholesalers continues to grow, and so do expectations for temperature control and traceability. To meet them, we are expanding our cold-chain capabilities in Muscat.

What the expansion covers

  • Additional cold-store capacity for both chilled (0–4 °C) and frozen (−18 °C or below) product.
  • Expanded reefer handling, including pre-cooling and power connections for 40 ft containers at the port.
  • Temperature data logging at every stage, with reports available to customers on request.

Why temperature evidence matters

A single break in the cold chain can compromise a whole container. Continuous logging gives buyers objective evidence that product stayed in range from the approved plant to the receiving dock, and makes any exception visible early rather than after delivery.

Product state Target temperature Typical shelf life
Chilled, vacuum-packed beef 0–4 °C 60–90 days
Frozen beef and mutton −18 °C or below 18–24 months
Frozen goat and camel meat −18 °C or below up to 18 months

Halal integrity throughout

All meat is sourced from approved plants with Halal certification issued per consignment. Segregated storage and lot-level labelling keep product traceable and separate from non-Halal items.

What it means for customers

Wholesalers, hotels and caterers can order smaller, more frequent drops rather than carrying large stock, while importers gain a dependable base for re-export to GCC markets.
